Chicago Style Dog
The secret to a Chicago style hot dog is to “drag it through a garden”. Top your chicken franks with fresh peppers, sautéed onions, dill pickles and relish—these fresh and healthy flavours will grow on you.
- 10 Maple Lodge Farms® Smokies Chicken Sausage,cooked 120 mL chopped tomato
- 120 mL French's® Classic Yellow® Mustard
- 10 hot dog buns,warmed
- 120 mL chopped peppers
- 120 mL sautéed onion
- 10 spears dill pickle
- 120 mL tomato relish
1Squeeze equal amounts of mustard on each warm bun. Top with Smokies Chicken Sausages.
2Evenly sprinkle the chopped tomato, chopped peppers and onion on each chicken sausage.
3Cover with a dollop of relish and add one pickle spear to bun. Serve.
To make sure your chicken is cooked through, look for an internal temperature reading of 82° C for a whole chicken and 74° C for ground poultry, chicken pieces & cuts.
