Fajita Frankfurters

Attention chicken dog enthusiasts! Introduce your taste buds to a new world of flavour by combining the legendary flavour of our chicken dogs and fajitas. Peppers, onions and hotdogs, who would have thought!

PREP TIME: 10 minutes | COOKING TIME: 15 minutes | SERVING SIZE: 6


1 package Maple Lodge Farms Ultimate Chicken Frankfurters
2 red peppers, quartered
1 green pepper, quartered
1 onion, sliced into thick rings
1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 teaspoon salt
10 hot dog buns, toasted
1 1/4 cups shredded aged cheddar cheese
1/3 cup pickled jalapeno peppers
Lime wedges


Step 1: Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grate well. Toss together red peppers, green pepper, onion, oil and salt.
Step 2: Grill frankfurters, turning, for 6 to 8 minutes or until grill-marked and heated through. Grill peppers and onion for 5 to 8 minutes per side or until grill-marked and tender.
Step 3: Thinly slice peppers and cut onion slices in half; mix together. Assemble frankfurters in buns with pepper and onion mixture, cheese and jalapenos. Serve with lime wedges.
Tip: Serve with salsa and sour cream or your favourite condiments.
